Delta Air Lines has given its amenity kits a makeover, with the addition of Kiehl’s Since 1851 and TUMI products. The airline is calling its new premium kits an “apothecary in the sky,” designed to help passengers rejuvenate skin on the longest flights. The new kits contain Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1; Kiehl’s grapefruit-scented Deluxe Hand and Body Lotion with Aloe Vera and Oatmeal; a TUMI soft touch pen; eye shades; striped socks; plus – a dental kit featuring Crest toothpaste, tissues, mouthwash and ear plugs. Plus, the products are all packed inside either a hard or soft-cased TUMI bag. Passengers flying outbound from the U.S. will receive a navy hard-sided amenity kit; and the soft-sided black amenity kit is for passengers flying inbound to the U.S. Allison Ausband, Delta’s Senior Vice President – In-Flight Service. “We know our customers have come to expect our industry-leading service, so we’re going the extra mile to think of their needs in flight – no matter how big or small.” The kits were introduced on July 1 on Delta One flights, including transoceanic international flights and flights between John F. Kennedy International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport/ San Francisco International Airport. To celebrate the launch of the refreshed kits, Delta flight attendants handed out complimentary Kiehl’s samples at the New York City flagship store as well as Kiehl’s Nolita and Hell’s Kitchen store locations and to customers at the gate prior to boarding select flights in NYC and California.
